AUDITIONS

Audition techniques are very important for any aspiring or established performer.

For those students wishing to apply for roles in West End theatre, film or entrance to University or Drama School, we will work towards the preparation for auditions and help develop the necessary skills, composure and self-belief to give each individual the best opportunity to succeed.

We also help prepare students for Drama Scholarships.

Drama Club students have obtained Drama Scholarships and Bursaries to many schools, amongst which are St. Bedes Senior SChool, St. Bedes Prep School, Mayfield St Leonards, Eastbourne College, Ardingly, Beechwood and Brighton College.

Recent audition successes include two students appearing in The Sound of Music at the London Palladium for six months.

Drama School and University places have been awarded from Guildhall, RADA, Guildford School of Acting, East 15, Manchester, Exeter and Brunel Universities and many more.

National Youth Theatre

We have been very successful in getting a large number of our students into the National Youth Theatre residential courses over the last eight years and, to date, 31 students have gained places with this prestigious company.

This year 17 students are auditioning for the NYT in London at half term. They are being joined by 15 others for an overnight trip to London taking in A Combat workshop and a visit to the theatre to see Legally Blonde. Those who are not auditioning are taking part in a Shakespeare workshop at the Globe and a trip on the London Eye.
